well, today we got 'er done!
we dug up the remaining beds (for now), mixed in 10 cubic yards of compost & built our raised concrete walls.
we had an amazing amount of volunteers out and about throughout the day, met with a lot of neighbors (some of who graciously donated strawberries! my favorite!), rocked out to some tunes from our pal chase during a well deserved lunch break, and wrapped up the day with a round of high five's.
a huge thank you to everyone that made today possible, and an extra special thank you to the seattle times who spent a good chunk of time with us as well.
we couldn't have done this without you! don't quote my math, but i'm estimating we had about 90 hours worth of volunteer time today!
