Hello Alleycat Friends!
Long time, no talk! Well I am back now with a whole slew of updates and Alleycat activities coming up over the next few weeks!
We are finally getting ready to move forward on our 22nd and Union site. We know there is a ton of excitement around this site getting active, and we do want to apologize for the delay in plantin', but our hold up has been a lack of access to a consistent water source. But never fear- we have all sorts of plans cooking to secure water and as such we have a ton of work parties coming up! So mark your calendars for the following Central District Crop Mobs!
Monday, July 5th, from 6-9 pm
Wednesday, July 14th, from 6-9 pm
Saturday, July 17th, from 11 am- 3 pm
Over the course of these work parties we will finishing clearing the soil and prepping it for planting,creating raised beds, and a bunch of other final steps towards getting plants in the ground! And from this point on, we will be actively working on hosting weekly Crop Mobs at the Central District site, so keep your eyes on your inbox for updates!
Also, we are still hosting our weekly Harvest Parties at our Beacon Hill site- every Tuesday from 6-8pm. Please feel free to join us in harvesting the farm fresh goodies and re-sowing seeds for future crops!
The address for our Beacon Hill farm is 3656 24th Ave S.
The address for our Central District site is the corner of 22nd and Union.
