Summer Digs: Let's Jam.

 

And to celebrate, we have a few tricks up our sleeves. Like next Tuesday, July 12th, at Beacon Hill -- we'll be ringing in the summer with free ice cream floats, thanks to our pals at DRY Soda and Bluebird Ice Cream!

But in the meantime, we want to capture the spirit and energy of everyone whose a part of Alleycat Acres. And what better way to do that than through music? 


So this is where we need you:

HELP US MAKE A MIX TAPE! (errr...cd!)


Pick your favorite song. Or songs. Songs that are great working out on the farm. Or cruising around on the streets via bike. Or songs that make for a great jam sesh (you know, when you're in the kitchen making jam from the raspberries that are out). What do you rock out to? What gets your piles riled?

We want to know! Whatever your taste, send some recommendations our way. We're going to compile a list and make a mix so we can get physical while rocking out, pitchforks and (golden) trowels in hand.

The theme? "Let's Jam."

To submit your song(s):
Shoot an email to sean (at) alleycatacres (dot) com with the subject "Let's Jam" that includes the name of the artist and the song title. Be sure to include your name. And if you feel up to it, let us know why you chose these songs.

We'll be taking song recommendations through July 20th.

Want to create the album artwork?
The title of the mix will be "Let's Jam." Put on your thinking caps and get busy! We'll take submissions through July 20th. Then we'll open it for voting. 

- Attach a high res image (.PDF or .EPS works best) that could be used for printing
- Attach a lower res .JPG or similar file so we can put it on our website for voting. 
- Send both files, your name and any links to your online work to: sean (at) alleycatacres (dot) com with the subject "Let's Jam Artwork."

How can I get a copy?

By August, we will work on making copies. Everyone who suggests a song that we use (and creates the graphic we use) will get a free copy once completed.

We will then have them on site at events throughout the rest of this year. And perhaps we'll be playing it loud and proud on the farms....
