In 2011, more than 85 cyclists joined forces with us to launch our first fundraiser -- riding more than 55 miles around Lake Washington.
Together, we raised more than $15,000 which has been nothing short of a miracle for the farms.
Well, 2012 is coming up and we're hard at work planning the next ride.
Well, 2012 is coming up and we're hard at work planning the next ride.
We'll put out more information, including registration, in the coming weeks.
But right now, we're looking for sponsors to help with costs associated with throwing such an event.
Do you own a business? Or does your company feel as passionate about bicycles, health + cultivating change? Then perhaps you'd like to join forces with us and throw a 66 mile bike ride in March 2012!
We're looking for the following sponsor levels:
Food Sponsors
You'll help us feed up to 250 people from start to finish. You can be a restaurant or individual that would like to contribute at least $500. We'll need:
- Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
- 4 Rest Stops packed with goodies
- 4 Rest Stops packed with goodies
- A couple huge ass kegs of beer (we learned this year that 1 isn't enough)
Swag Sponsors
You're right behind us in helping this event be a success for all involved. Because of you, we're able to have a ton of awesome prizes. You're either a business or an individual who'd like to contribute product/money to create the most badass collection of prizes. Printed tshirts? iPads? Let us know what you're thinking -- and we'll probably say yes.
Cost: Negotiable/Varies depending on items requested/donated.
Event Volunteers (20+):
Want to help out? We're looking for folks to help make the day go smoothly! As of now, the tentative time frame is early March; The date is TBD.
We're looking for:
- Event Photographer + Videographers (2) You should have your own wheels and be able to shoot the day from start to finish. Don't worry about food! You'll be well taken care of.
- Rest Stop Crew (8 -- teams of 2) You'll wake up at the ass crack of dawn with us and get the run down. You'll load your car and head off to your check point. You'll make sure the rest stops are stocked and ready to go for the riders. You'll also check off each cyclist as they pass. (You must be good at giving high fives).
- On route mechanic (3) You'll be on route with the riders, helping out with all fixes that may be needed along the way. Two of you will ride, 1 will ride in a sweep vehicle.
If you can help with any of the above, please get in touch with Sean -- sean@alleycatacres.com.
